WTGL Takes Shape
Team golf is coming to the LPGA stage
The LPGA and TMRW Sports have announced the formation of WTGL, a new team golf platform set to launch in winter 2026-27 from the custom-built SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
WTGL will feature teams of LPGA Tour stars competing across a season of fast-paced, team match play, designed to showcase skill, personality and performance in a modern, media-focused setting that complements the existing LPGA Tour schedule.
“Partnering with TMRW Sports on WTGL reflects our belief that innovation can help the game reach new fans and create greater visibility for LPGA athletes,” said LPGA Commissioner Craig Kessler. “It creates another global stage for our athletes.”
WTGL builds on the foundation of TGL presented by SoFi, incorporating elements such as mic’d-up moments, risk-reward decisions and comprehensive shot-performance data within a technology-driven arena environment.
“In partnership with the LPGA, WTGL is another step in creating a modern version of a centuries-old game,” said Mike McCarley, adding that the short-form format is designed to engage new audiences while highlighting the stars of the LPGA.
