WTGL Finds Its Voice Early
Elite names signal intent as women’s team golf takes shape
TMRW Sports has secured early momentum for its new women’s team golf venture after confirming a first group of committed LPGA Tour players for WTGL, ahead of a planned winter 2026–27 launch in Florida.
The opening class spans continents and generations, led by world No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul, England’s Charley Hull, Olympic medallist and Hall of Famer Lydia Ko, Canada’s most decorated player Brooke Henderson and long-time American standard bearer Lexi Thompson.
“WTGL will be a global stage to showcase LPGA Tour stars,” said Mike McCarley, founder and chief executive of TMRW Sports, adding that the format will allow fans to connect more deeply with players through constant access and a modern team match play environment.
Thitikul arrives as the game’s current benchmark, a five-time LPGA award recipient and reigning Rolex Player of the Year, while Hull brings proven team pedigree from seven Solheim Cup appearances. Ko’s résumé includes 23 LPGA Tour victories and three Olympic medals, Henderson remains Canada’s winningest golfer, and Thompson’s longevity is underlined by seven Solheim Cups and 11 LPGA wins.
WTGL will be staged at the custom-built SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens and builds on the technology-driven framework established by TGL presented by SoFi, blending mic’d players, strategic risk-reward elements and detailed performance data, as TMRW Sports prepares its second league project in partnership with the LPGA.
