Von Dellingshausen’s Alpine Ascent
German claims long-awaited maiden win on his 110th DP World Tour start with clinical finish in Salzburg
Paju, Korea - Nicolai von Dellingshausen captured his first DP World Tour title in stylish fashion, carding a five-under 65 to win the Austrian Alpine Open presented by SalzburgerLand on Sunday.
The 32-year-old German began the final day one shot adrift of friend Marcel Schneider but surged ahead with early birdies and a spectacular eagle at the turn. He reached 19 under and calmly parred his way home to secure a two-stroke victory at Golf Club Gut Altentann.
“I never felt like it would slip away,” said Von Dellingshausen, who had previously come close on both the Challenge and DP World Tours. “I hit the numbers I wanted and stayed in control—it’s unbelievably relieving.”
His triumph, on his 110th start, came as Schneider and Norway’s Kristoffer Reitan shared second. Reitan thrilled with a blistering 60—just missing a rare 59 at the last.
Denmark’s Jeff Winther finished fourth, his best showing of the 2025 season.
Von Dellingshausen’s win not only ends a long wait but lifts him in the Race to Dubai standings, offering fresh momentum for the season ahead.
