Tan Earns Second Player of the Month Honour
Singapore star’s winning form and fan appeal shine again on the LET
Seoul, Korea - Singapore’s Shannon Tan has been voted the Ladies European Tour’s Player of the Month for October after another standout stretch that included her second victory of the season and a firm hold on the Order of Merit lead.
The 21-year-old Olympian, already one of the brightest young players on tour, captured the Hero Women’s Indian Open for her third career LET title, then added a steady T44 at the Wistron Ladies Open to cap a productive month. Fans voted Tan to the top spot on the LET’s website and app from a shortlist drawn up by commentators Richard Kaufman and Sophie Walker, choosing her ahead of Yani Tseng of Chinese Taipei, India’s Hitaashee Bakshi and New Zealander Amelia Garvey.
“I’m really happy to be named LET Player of the Month for October,” Tan said. “It’s been special to win on the LET for the third time, to do it in India, and to be recognised by the fans and the tour for the second time this year makes it even better. Thank you to everyone who voted. Your support keeps me going.”
The Singaporean joins England’s Mimi Rhodes as the only players to have claimed the monthly accolade twice this season, having also taken the June award after winning the Amundi German Masters. Her latest success pushed her 219.26 points ahead of Rhodes in the Order of Merit with just one tournament remaining – the Andalucia Costa del Sol Open de España presented by OYSHO from November 27–30.
With the season finale still to play, the race for the Order of Merit title promises a thrilling finish, but Tan’s October run – a blend of precision, poise and popularity – has already underlined her growing stature as one of the defining figures of the 2025 LET season.
