Singapore Swings into Action for 2025 World Amateur Team Championships
New WATC website launched as global spotlight turns to Tanah Merah Country Club in October
Seoul, Korea - The Singapore Golf Association has launched the official website for the 2025 World Amateur Team Championships, marking a major step in preparations for the prestigious event set to take place in October at Tanah Merah Country Club.
The platform, unveiled six months ahead of the tournament, promises to be a vital hub for fans, players and officials. It will feature essential updates, travel guidance, and information about Singapore’s culture, attractions and championship venue.
“Hosting the 2025 WATC is a proud moment for Singapore,” said Joshua Ho, General Manager of the Singapore Golf Association. “This website allows fans around the world to follow the action and experience what Singapore has to offer.”
The tournament, which runs from 1 to 11 October, is conducted by the International Golf Federation and features the world’s best amateurs vying for the Espirito Santo Trophy (women) and Eisenhower Trophy (men) in a 72-hole stroke play format.
Antony Scanlon, Executive Director of the IGF, added: “The new website reflects our shared vision to celebrate the global amateur game. It will help create a memorable experience for all involved.”
While the SGA’s website will handle local updates and community content, the IGF’s own portal will remain the source for official championship details, including rankings, team lists and qualifying news.
