Scott returns to Korea for Genesis Championship
Former World Number One joins star-studded field at Woo Jeong Hills
Seoul, Korea - Adam Scott will make his return to South Korea when he tees it up at the Genesis Championship at Woo Jeong Hills Country Club in Cheonan from October 23 to 26.
The Australian, who famously won the 2013 Masters Tournament, is set to compete alongside Presidents Cup teammates Byeong Hun An, Sungjae Im and Si Woo Kim, as well as Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama.
“I always look forward to the challenge of competing on a new golf course and I’ve always enjoyed playing in South Korea,” said Scott. “It has been a few years since I last played there, so I’m excited to go back.”
Scott, 45, reached the top of the world rankings in 2014 and owns 25 titles across the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR, including the 2020 Genesis Invitational and two World Golf Championships. He also holds the record for the most appearances for the International Team at the Presidents Cup with 11, and is his side’s all-time leading points scorer with 23 since debuting in 2003.
Joining him in the field are Thomas Detry, the first Belgian to win on the PGA TOUR earlier this year, and DP World Tour winners Laurie Canter, Ángel Hidalgo, Pablo Larrazábal, Keita Nakajima and Elvis Smylie. The tournament marks the final regular event of the 2025 Race to Dubai, giving players one last opportunity to secure their places in the DP World Tour Play-offs and retain their cards for the 2026 season.
