Rock Steady: Vincent’s Patient Mastery Earns Morocco Glory
Calm resolve pays off for Zimbabwean star as he returns to winning ways on the International Series
Las Vegas - Scott Vincent reminded the golfing world of his resilience and class on Sunday as he cruised to a four-shot victory at the International Series Morocco, ending a three-year title drought. The Zimbabwean’s assured final-round 70 at the testing Royal Golf Dar Es Salam sealed his second Asian Tour title with a 14-under-par total of 278.
Vincent, 33, kept his composure despite two early three-putt bogeys, striking 17 greens in regulation and producing three birdies in the last four holes to fend off Thailand’s Danthai Boonma. His grandstand finish, highlighted by a curling 20-foot birdie at the 18th, capped a week of patient ball-striking and level-headed strategy.
“It’s hard to put into words,” Vincent said. “It felt like I was missing chances for most of the day, but you just have to stay in it and trust the plan. To look up at the end and see I’d pulled clear was an incredible feeling.”
The win was Vincent’s first since lifting the International Series England trophy in 2022 and elevates him to the top of the Asian Tour Order of Merit. It also cements his place among multiple International Series winners, alongside names such as Peter Uihlein and Carlos Ortiz.
As the International Series heads next to Indonesia in October, Vincent can reflect on a sparkling 2025 campaign so far: eight top-12 finishes in 11 worldwide starts, and now a richly deserved title to savour — fittingly achieved alongside childhood friend and caddie Kyle Basson.
A calm head, a clear plan, and a cool putter: Vincent’s Moroccan masterclass was a timely reminder that patience in golf still pays handsomely.
