LIV Golf Widens the Door for 2026
More places, more pressure, and a sharper route into the league
LIV Golf has confirmed an expanded regular season field of 57 players for 2026, alongside enhanced qualifying opportunities through LIV Golf Promotions, scheduled for January 8–11 at Black Diamond Ranch in Florida.
From February, the league will comprise 13 four-man teams and five Wild Card players, with the top three finishers at LIV Golf Promotions earning full-season Wild Card spots, an increase from the previously announced two.
“We are opening pathways—creating more chances for top talent to compete in the world’s golf league,” said LIV Golf chief executive Scott O’Neil, adding that the additional qualifying place would “strengthen our field and add excitement to a season built on opportunity, competition, and growth”.
The top three finishers at Promotions will join Scott Vincent of Zimbabwe and Japan’s Yosuke Asaji, who secured their 2026 places through the final rankings of the 2025 International Series, which concluded at the PIF Saudi International in Riyadh.
More than 80 players from 24 countries are confirmed for Promotions, with the field averaging 30 years of age and featuring former Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup players, tour winners and emerging international talent, underlining the increasingly global reach of the league.
