Im and Kim set for homecoming at Genesis Championship
Korean stars return to Woo Jeong Hills for season-ending DP World Tour test
Las Vegas - Sungjae Im and Si Woo Kim will headline the Genesis Championship when the tournament returns to Korea at Woo Jeong Hills Country Club from 23–26 October.
Both men, alongside defending champion Byeong Hun An, are the highest-ranked Koreans in the Official World Golf Ranking. Their inclusion provides an early boost for a field that will feature leading players from the DP World Tour and KPGA TOUR.
“I’m very proud to be able to call myself a winner of the Genesis Championship, not least because it was my first victory on home soil,” said Im, who triumphed in 2019. “The fans are incredibly supportive and there is always a great atmosphere.”
Kim, a four-time PGA TOUR winner, last played in Korea at the 2022 Shinhan Donghae Open. “It has been a few years since I last had the opportunity to do so, so I’m looking forward to reconnecting with the fans again,” he said.
This year’s championship will serve as the final stop on the 2025 Race to Dubai, offering a last chance for players to qualify for the season-ending DP World Tour Play-Offs. Tickets are on sale now at an Early Bird rate until 15 September.
