Genesis Drives On with Scottish Open Partnership
A long-term commitment that honours golf’s heritage — and Scotland’s proudest week
Las Vegas - Luxury carmaker Genesis has renewed its title sponsorship of the Genesis Scottish Open through 2030, reinforcing its status as a cornerstone partner of the PGA TOUR and DP World Tour’s first co-sanctioned event. The agreement was announced Wednesday at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick, just a day before Scotland’s national open tees off with defending champion Robert MacIntyre in the field.
Genesis President & CEO José Muñoz described the extension as a natural fit, saying: “Golf and Genesis share the same values: respect, integrity and excellence. Renewing through 2030 demonstrates our continued commitment to this special tournament and to the fans and communities it inspires.” With Genesis also now the PGA TOUR’s first Official Automotive and Mobility Partner, the Scottish Open remains a flagship of the brand’s global presence.
“The PGA TOUR is proud to continue this growing relationship,” added Commissioner Jay Monahan. “The Scottish Open keeps reaching new heights, and Genesis helps us elevate this event for a global audience alongside our DP World Tour partners.”
The Scottish Open has been part of the DP World Tour since 1986 and was elevated to Rolex Series status and co-sanctioned in 2022. The Renaissance Club, hosting for the seventh consecutive year, will welcome a world-class field including MacIntyre, Rory McIlroy and Adam Scott this week.
As the galleries gather under the East Lothian skies, the renewed Genesis partnership ensures this historic week remains as polished as a championship trophy — with Scotland, golf and the global game all driving forward together.
