French Stars Embrace Home Challenge at FedEx Open de France
New venue, new chapter as Pavon, Rozner, Ravetto and Lacroix headline home hopes
Las Vegas - French golf fans can look forward to a star-studded home challenge when the 2025 FedEx Open de France moves to Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche from 18–21 September, with national heroes Matthieu Pavon, Antoine Rozner, David Ravetto and Frederic Lacroix confirmed in the field.
Pavon, the first Frenchman to win on the PGA TOUR in more than a century thanks to his 2024 Farmers Insurance Open triumph, leads the home contingent for the tournament’s 107th edition. “Playing in the Open de France is always special,” said the 32-year-old from Toulouse. “Competing at Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche for the first time will be an exciting challenge.”
Rozner, already a three-time DP World Tour winner, echoed that excitement. “The Open de France means everything to French golfers,” said the Parisian. “I’m determined to finally lift the trophy on home soil in front of my own crowd.”
Ravetto and Lacroix, both first-time winners on the DP World Tour in 2024, also hope to build on their breakthrough seasons with a strong performance in France’s national Open. “There’s nothing quite like competing on home soil,” said Ravetto. Lacroix added: “The support from the French fans is incredible — I hope to give them something to cheer about.”
The move to Golf de Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche marks a new era for Europe’s oldest national open, which was held at Le Golf National for the past 21 years. The new venue, famous for hosting the Seve Trophy, offers a strategic and picturesque test sure to captivate both players and spectators.
The French quartet will join defending champion Dan Bradbury, PGA TOUR winners Min Woo Lee and Corey Conners, Rolex Series winner Ryan Fox, and rising French talent Martin Couvra in what promises to be a thrilling and international field.
Tickets for the 2025 FedEx Open de France are on sale now, with a range of general admission and premium hospitality options available.
