Paju, Korea - The Singapore Open will enter a landmark new era in 2027 following the announcement of a multi-year title sponsorship agreement with Deutsche Bank running through 2029.
Under the new agreement, the tournament will officially return to the DP World Tour schedule as a co-sanctioned event alongside the Asian Tour. The inaugural Deutsche Bank Singapore Open is scheduled to take place from April 15 to 18, 2027, on the acclaimed Serapong course at Sentosa Golf Club. The event will form a core part of the DP World Tour’s “Asian Swing”—the third of five Global Swings featured in the first phase of the Race to Dubai calendar.
First played in 1961, the Singapore Open boasts a rich history, with a champion roster featuring major winners such as Adam Scott, Sergio Garcia, Ian Poulter, and Matteo Manassero, alongside Asian Tour legends Jeev Milkha Singh, Thaworn Wiratchant, and Jazz Janewattananond. The tournament was previously co-sanctioned by the DP World Tour and Asian Tour from 2009 to 2012.
“Deutsche Bank is proud to be working with the DP World Tour to bring leading international talent in professional golf to Asia in the new Singapore Open,” said Claudio de Sanctis, Member of the Management Board and Head of Private Bank at Deutsche Bank. “Partnering for this sporting event aligns strategically with Deutsche Bank’s commitment to fostering global talent, competitive skill, and leadership.”
“The return of the Singapore Open to our schedule is an important milestone in our new tri-partite partnership with the Asian Tour and the PGA Tour,” added Guy Kinnings, CEO of the DP World Tour. “Deutsche Bank’s investment will provide the foundation to grow this historic national open, enhance the experience on and off the course, and maximize the economic impact of the event for many years to come.”
The tournament’s most recent champion, South Korea’s Jeongwoo Ham, captured the title in April 2026 with a wire-to-wire victory at Sentosa, joining 2016 champion Younghan Song as only the second Korean winner in the event’s history.
“We eagerly anticipate it being elevated to a joint-sanctioned event next season with the DP World Tour,” noted Cho Minn Thant, Commissioner & CEO of the Asian Tour. “Partnering with Deutsche Bank will also give even greater prominence to what is one of the high points of the golfing year in Asia.”
