Seoul, Korea - Nicolas Colsaerts, Marcus Armitage and Marcus Kinhult share the opening-round lead at the Hero Indian Open, posting matching four-under 68s on Thursday at New Delhi’s DLF Golf and Country Club.
Colsaerts, a three-time DP World Tour champion and European Ryder Cup Vice-Captain, overcame two bogeys to birdie six holes, capitalising on his regained Tour card to spark his 2025 campaign.
“Dot to dot around here,” said Armitage, who collected a fifth-place finish in Singapore last week. “You can get frustrated, but I stayed patient and I’m delighted with four under.”
Kinhult, chasing his second Tour trophy since the 2019 Betfred British Masters, picked up birdies on three of his first four holes, applauding his hot putter and steady short-game saves.
Home favourite Ajeetesh Sandhu sits a stroke adrift on three under, while Ross Fisher and Todd Clements also lurk. With DLF’s rough looming, patience remains paramount heading into round two.
