Chris Madsen to Lead LPGA’s Asia-Pacific Expansion
Global sports strategist brings Nike, Chelsea and SpoTV pedigree to new role
Las Vegas - Chris Madsen has been appointed Managing Director of the LPGA’s Asia-Pacific region, the tour announced on July 2, with oversight of business operations, partnerships and strategic growth.
The appointment signals the LPGA’s renewed commitment to its most dynamic global market, home to top athletes and sponsors. Madsen’s extensive experience with Nike, Chelsea FC and SpoTV makes him a strong fit for the role.
“It’s an incredible honour to join the LPGA, an organisation with unmatched global recognition in women’s sport,” said Madsen. “I’m proud to help continue that growth in one of its most vital regions.”
The LPGA hosts five events in Asia this October, including the Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown in Korea. Madsen’s leadership comes as the tour seeks deeper regional engagement.
Interim Commissioner Liz Moore said: “Asia is central to the LPGA’s identity. Chris brings the expertise to strengthen our presence across the Pacific.”
