Augusta National Women’s Amateur Finalises 2026 Invitations
The world’s leading amateurs return to golf’s most iconic stage
The field for the 2026 Augusta National Women’s Amateur has been confirmed, with the tournament set to welcome the game’s elite amateur players back to Augusta this April. Invitations were issued in January and 71 players have formally accepted, organisers announced on February 4.
The championship will be played from April 1–4 in Augusta, Georgia, continuing its tradition of serving as the premier showcase for women’s amateur golf on the eve of the Masters Tournament.
All of the top 20 players in the Women’s World Amateur Golf Ranking are included in the confirmed field, along with 48 of the top 50. The players represent 23 countries and regions across six continents, underlining the global reach and stature of the event.
Former champions Tsubasa Kajitani, winner in 2021, and Anna Davis, the 2022 champion, are among those returning. They will be joined by 2025 runner-up Asterisk Talley and current world No. 1 Chiara Romero. Megha Ganne and Amanda Sambach are set to make their sixth appearances in the championship.
Four players from Korea—Gyubin Kim, Seojin Park, Yunseo Yang and Sumin Oh—are included in the field, with Oh competing for the second consecutive year.
A total of 72 players will contest 54 holes of stroke play. After 36 holes, the top 30 players and ties will advance to the final round. The first and second rounds will be played on April 1 and 2 at Champions Retreat Golf Club, followed by an official practice round for all players at Augusta National Golf Club on April 3. Those who make the cut will return to Augusta National on April 4 for the final round.
Broadcast plans have also been confirmed. The opening two rounds will air live on Golf Channel from 1.30pm to 3.30pm Eastern Time, while the final round will be broadcast by NBC Sports from noon to 3pm. Golf Channel’s Live From the Masters will originate from Augusta National beginning April 3, covering the Augusta National Women’s Amateur alongside the Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals and the Masters Tournament.
Established in 2019, the Augusta National Women’s Amateur will stage its seventh edition in 2026. Jennifer Kupcho won the inaugural title, while the 2020 championship was cancelled due to the pandemic. Kajitani became the first Japanese winner in 2021, Davis set a record as the youngest champion in 2022, Rose Zhang claimed the title in a play-off in 2023, and England’s Lottie Woad became the first European winner in 2024. Last year, Spain’s Carla Bernat Escuder set a tournament scoring record with a 12-under-par total of 204.
