Asian Tour, DP World Tour, and PGA TOUR forge landmark multi-year global partnership
Strategic alliance through at least 2029 restores co-sanctioned events and establishes new direct player pathways starting in 2027
Korea - The Asian Tour, DP World Tour, and PGA TOUR have announced a landmark multi-year partnership running through at least 2029, opening a significant new chapter for global professional golf.
Under the new agreement, effective immediately, the PGA TOUR and DP World Tour—expanding on their existing Strategic Alliance—will collaborate directly with the Asian Tour to enhance commercial growth and expand playing opportunities. Crucially, the partnership establishes direct performance pathways for leading Asian Tour members to earn playing rights on the DP World Tour starting from the 2027 season.
Additionally, the DP World Tour will resume co-sanctioning select tournaments alongside the Asian Tour beginning in 2027, rekindling a historic relationship that first began with the 1999 Malaysian Open and previously encompassed 108 co-sanctioned events. Full details regarding the co-sanctioned schedule will be unveiled alongside the DP World Tour’s official 2027 calendar launch later this year.

PGA TOUR Senior Vice President of International Christian Hardy echoed those sentiments, noting that welcoming the Asian Tour into the existing PGA TOUR–DP World Tour framework strengthens the global ecosystem, enhances key National Opens, and streamlines the identification of the world’s next generation of elite talent.
