Aramco Houston Championship Ready To Shine In Texas
Stars from across the globe head to Pearland as LET stages its 5th edition with $2 million purse on the line
Las Vegas - The Ladies European Tour arrives in the United States this week with the Aramco Houston Championship at Golfcrest Country Club in Pearland, Texas, from September 5-7. A 104-player field will contest a $2 million purse across team and individual competitions.
The format blends a 36-hole team event with a 54-hole individual stroke play, with the top 60 professionals and ties advancing after 36 holes. Half a million dollars will be split among the team champions while $1.5 million goes into the individual contest.
Among the headline names are past champions Charley Hull, Carlota Ciganda and defending winner Alexandra Försterling. They are joined by nine 2025 LET winners, including Mimi Rhodes, who continues to lead both the Order of Merit and Rookie of the Year standings, and 19 first-year players eager to make their mark.
This is the fifth staging of the tournament, evolving from its earlier Aramco Team Series roots in New York, Florida and Tampa. Golfcrest Country Club, a Joseph S. Finger design measuring 6,598 yards, will test strategy and short-game mastery on a par-72 layout renowned for its conditions and Texan hospitality.
With major champions Danielle Kang and Alison Lee among 11 sponsor invitations, and Team Roussin-Bouchard aiming to defend last year’s team crown, the week promises drama. The winner will join an honour roll featuring Hull, Ciganda, Lexi Thompson and Försterling—players who all turned triumph here into career momentum.
